If you live in a climate is ready for plants to be transplanted or started outside, this water distributing window box is the perfect DIY for a vintage English cottage feel.
Ours is hung on the outside of the window that is in our stair-case. I love looking out the window and seeing cheery blooms looking back at me!
These are great if you’re a) wanting a little bit of variety on your bookshelf, or b) if you might be wanting to disguise some needed books that don’t have pretty covers of their own.

What could make a sewing project this spring more fun…? Ending up with beautiful new pinch-pleat curtains when you’re finished! These are a great beginner sewing project because it’s all straight line hemming! The pinch pleats come together easily with the correct hem tape and hooks!
The first time I made a book page runner was for my daughter’s Pride & Prejudice birthday party, and then I did my first hymnal page runner at my Mother’s funeral in honor of her love for playing the piano.
I decided to use another hymnal page runner for my Easter decorations last year – and loved it so much I not only included it on my mantle again this year, but I also included it in my Spring Decor Boxes!
This spring I launched the first of my Seasonal Collection Decor boxes! These are collections that are mailed directly to you and contain a selection of my favorite decor and DIY projects that coordinate with each of the specific seasons!
There are still a handful of the first ever spring boxes available now, but they’re very limited, and once they’re all sold out; they’re gone! Next year’s spring box will contain a new assortment of items!
If you’re seeing this post after the spring boxes have sold out – you can still join the waitlist below to be notified when next season’s boxes are available!
This technique has proven itself to be useful over the years! I first used it to change a shiny brass chandelier into something a bit more subdued and vintage for our bedroom, and then more recently I used the same process to cover over an unsightly shade of blue paint on the cutest wicker basket!
I made my daughter a version of this bulletin board years ago, and then promptly realized I wanted one in our room, too! It makes the best landing place for sweet cards, pictures and seasonal decor!

Last, but certainly not least – transferring images to wood are a great way to add a bit of vintage charm to an otherwise plain wooden crate or box!
I loved styling my freshly labeled crate out on our porch on top of the thrifted lockers I painted with Fusion Mineral Paint!
