I’ve made lavender shortbread and ice cream, added it to eggs and roast chicken and served up lavender lemonade every summer for the last decade.

But, I’ve never had lavender hot chocolate . . .that is, until now.
And white hot chocolate, at that.
Be still my heart.
Does it get any dreamier?
Confession time. . . I would probably be considered a boring mom when it comes to Valentine’s Day, we do make lots of cards for our friends and I try to have a little decorating done and something heart shaped to eat. But this year Valentine’s Day falls on the weekend which makes me think I could pull off a little V-day breakfast.
Enter my three ingredient Lavender White Hot Chocolate Recipe.
Milk, Lavender, White Chocolate.
You may even have these things in your kitchen right now!
I always have a ton of lavender on hand thanks to my neighbor who shares a generous amount with me every year. Here is last year’s bounty, that’s a large laundry basket pictured.
But, if you don’t have any dried lavender on hand, I recommend purchasing this culinary lavender.
3/4 teaspoon Lavender
2 cups Whole Milk
1/4 cup White Chocolate Chips
Whipped Cream (optional garnish)
Simmer the lavender and milk in a sauce pan over low heat for 15 mins.
Warning- your house is about to smell completely divine.
Strain the milk to remove the buds and milk skim.
Stir in white chocolate and warm until blended.
Add to mugs and top with whipped cream and lavender, if desired.
Add in some fresh flowers, flakey butter croissants and over priced strawberries and you’re good to go!
