If you love the look of neutral and natural Fall Decor, you’re going to really love this Farmhouse Fall Home Tour!
In today’s Tour, I want to share one way I simplify the design process each season. Also, scroll down to see two more homes (Sincerely, Marie Designs and Seeking Lavender Lane) with great Fall decor inspiration!
Do you ever feel a little (or a lot) stressed when you go to switch out seasonal decorating? As much as I eat, sleep and breathe home decor, you might think it always comes super naturally to me. But, sometimes I just get in a rut, ya know what I mean?
The first thing I do is pull out my fall decorating Rubbermaid bin. (If you haven’t seen how I organize my seasonal decor, you can read that post HERE).
Then I look over my Farmhouse Fall Pinterest board.
And then, guess what I do…
I take a walk outside. Yup, that’s it.
I just walk around and study what is happening in nature. I already “know” in my head what to expect, but my heart hasn’t really connected to the coming changes yet.
That little half hour stroll lets me exhale and notice that once again, the leaves are changing color, the air is cooling, the apples are ready for picking, the acorns are falling. The firewood needs to be brought to the house, the honey needs to be harvested.

All the simple beauty in creation helps me think more clearly and as I start to gather little pieces from nature to bring inside, suddenly, my decorating becomes so doable.
I brought in some branches that had fallen in a storm and displayed those in the upstairs hallway. Then, I harvested the apples to set up in the kitchen and cut some oak leaves to spruce up the bathroom.
In previous years I have used acorns, pheasant feathers, antlers, kale and mums, as well.
And firewood, always firewood.
As you can see, even before the pumpkins are ready in my neck of the woods, I am able to get into the spirit of autumn with simple, natural decor at little to no cost.
Below is a list of inspiration to get you thinking about this year’s fall decor options.
So, if you are feeling overwhelmed by seasonal decorating, leave the stores and just take a walk outside for a few minutes. Take a deep breath, look closely at nature and see what happens!
Let me know in the comments what other natural elements you would add to my Farmhouse Fall decor list!
Seeking Lavender Lane She Holds Dearly (that’s me!) Sincerely, Marie Designs
