Today I’m going to show you how to make a crochet and linen throw blanket and share some exciting news about my friend’s new book!
My good friend, Jamie Lundstrom, from So Much Better with Age just wrote an amazing book all about the stunning French Vintage style of DIY decorating. With over 70 gorgeous projects there was bound to be one on the use of vintage linens.
Whenever I am out thrifting I will always look over the linens. Sometimes it is hard to decide how to use them in your home, though.
I kept noticing a beautiful crochet and linen throw in the pictures and finally on page 152 there was a tutorial on the blanket! Yippee!
Twin size dust ruffles are my favorite if they have a pretty edge and I have a favorite that I would love to get more use out of. The truth is, though, that the crocheted edge is not really that comfortable on the skin. But, linen is wonderful, so I found my solution!

I am very pleased with the final result, it has a nice weight and drapability to it. I can already tell this is going to be a favorite throw around here.
French Vintage Decor has so many other unique projects in it, when I was first trying to choose one, I couldn’t decide between twelve. TWELVE favorites?! So, let me tell ya, you will be seeing more of her inspiration as time goes on.
