Did you know that the honey bee used to be a sign of royalty in France? Its simplicity and beauty incorporates perfectly with vintage home design. I have compiled a selection of bee inspired home decor for you as we round out this summer season.
Some of you may already know this, but I have been keeping bees and harvesting honey for the past six or so years. This year, my youngest daughter has joined me and we worked hard all spring in our two hives.

Now it is time we have been waiting for- Harvest Time!
If you follow me on Instagram, I will be sharing our busy day processing the “liquid gold” on my IG stories.
We love to celebrate our honey harvest each year in different ways.
So, in honor of the mesmerizing and delicate honey bee, I give you this compilation of bee inspired home decor.

And, don’t forget the subtle honey comb inspiration of hexagonal marble tile.
Delicious!

This week I am giving away a vintage bee poster I constructed (tutorial coming) and a set of four bee tumblers, made in France. My sister bought me a set of the glasses from Ballard Designs about ten years ago for my birthday and they have been one of my prized possessions ever since.
I think you will adore them, too!
