It’s that after-Christmas-purge-the-whole-house time of year once again!

Yaaaayyy!!!!

You may remember, a while back I got really interested in the KonMarie method of decluttering.

Once the entire house had been purged and the only things that were left were things that “sparked joy”, it was time to organize!

My all-time favorite part of organizing a farmhouse is making sure everything is in some kind of a vintage style container, if it needs to be contained.

There are just a couple of things to keep in mind as you organize using the farmhouse style.

1. Anything that is too colorful, plastic, or labeled should probably be a candidate for a vintage storage solution.
2. Anything that is wood, glass, leather, metal, fabric or wicker can act as a good vintage storage solution.

That is seriously about all there is too it!!

However, sometimes things don’t need to be contained or hidden, they really need to be on display.  This is where a wooden ladder can come in for blankets or a mason jar drying rack can serve as a mug holder.
